Flight Training Policies:

All reservations once booked via email or phone may be canceled and refunded in full with the exception of the initial deposit up to six months prior to the reservation.  Reservations canceled within 6 months to 30 days of the scheduled start date will forfeit the initial deposit or can apply that deposit to future dates (the future dates can not be adjusted, and must be paid for in full at the time of rescheduling).  Reservations canceled within 30 days of the scheduled start date are non-refundable.  If you must cancel within 30 days of the initial start date of your training/stay with us, you may apply your payment to a future package which must be paid for in full upon rescheduling and can not be rescheduled or refunded for any reason.  All flight training and lodging must be paid for in full 7 days prior to arrival. By checking the box “I Agree” you agree to the following terms and conditions. FLY8MA.COM LLC does not assume any liability for any actions you take in an aircraft.  Our training material is not meant to be a replacement for flight and ground instruction with a certified flight instructor and any material you learn here should be verified with your flight instructor before attempting it in an airplane, whether with our without a certified flight instructor on board.  Any statements or representations made by FLY8MA.COM LLC or its owner(s)/contributors/subscribers may or may not be correct and should all be verified with a certified flight instructor.  It will be your responsibility to ensure any training received from FLY8MA.COM LLC and it’s certified flight instructors or certified ground instructors should be confirmed and clarified by your independent certified flight instructor who is or who will be conducting your flight training.  Students subscribed at the First Officer level or higher may request a live mock oral free of charge from FLY8MA CFI’s, but must schedule at least two weeks in advance and time slots are subject to instructor availability.  Students who cancel their session within 48hrs or do not “show up” for their oral session will not be eligible to reschedule.  Students who subscribe to FLY8MA.COM at the “First Officer” level or “Captain” level and who receive a notice of disapproval for any certificate or rating sought will be reimbursed for the lesser of either the cost of the piratical test or the subscription fees paid to FLY8MA.COM up to the date of the practical test provided that:
  • The subscriber was enrolled in the Appropriate FLY8MA.COM courses for at least 90 days
  • All courses applicable to the certificate or rating sought were completed with a passing score
  • The subscriber produces a receipt for the Practical Test for the certificate or rating they were disproved for
  • The subscriber completed the full two hours or more of oral prep with a FLY8MA.COM instructor (via Skype or any other chat portal)
  • The subscriber’s account and subscription are current and in good standing at the time the request for reimbursement is made.
  • The request for reimbursement is made to fly8ma@gmail.com, subject line “refund” or “reimbursement”
  • The subscriber completed the course of study no more than 14 days prior to sitting for the practical exam
Students who subscribe to FLY8MA.COM at the “First Officer” level or “Captain” level or who purchase a paid written preparation course and who receive a score less than 70%} (or whatever score the FAA deems as “passing”) will be reimbursed for the lesser of either the cost of the written exam, the subscription fees paid to FLY8MA.COM up to the date of the written exam, or the cost of the written prep course itself provided that:
  • The subscriber was enrolled in the Appropriate FLY8MA.COM courses for at least 30 days
  • All courses applicable to the exam for the certificate or rating sought were completed with a passing score
  • The subscriber produces a receipt for the Written Test and the computer test results indicating a non-passing score
  • The subscriber’s account and subscription are current and in good standing at the time the request for reimbursement is made.
  • The request for reimbursement is made to fly8ma@gmail.com, subject line “refund” or “reimbursement”
  • The subscriber completed the course of study no more than 7 days prior to sitting for the written exam
  • The subscriber reviewed all incorrect questions from any attempts on a final quiz or exam of the course with a CFI

Canceling or Pausing a Membership

By checking “I Agree”, you agree to pay a monthly, recurring fee for access to the subscription level you select, and to keep your card updated and valid at all times in which your subscription is active.  Once you signup, your subscription is active and you agree to be billed monthly until you select to cancel or pause your membership by doing so yourself under “MY ACCOUNT” and “Subscriptions”.  You the user are responsible for canceling or amending your account in any way you wish, and FLY8MA.com staff may not have access to your account to make subscription changes for you.  You agree to be fully responsible for making any changes to your subscription status via the online portal.  If you need help canceling or modifying a membership, you can contact FLY8MA.com technical support at 234-738-2582 or cfi@fly8ma.com (our staff will be happy to help you navigate how to make changes to your subscription).
