Ski-flying is some of the most fun you can have with your airplane in the winter!
While there is not any additional legally required training to fly your aircraft on skis, it is a safe bet to study on the ground and get some solid flight instruction from a qualified CFI prior to operating on skis. Without the proper training, you can bet on bending your airplane or worse.
This course is your starting point to operating your ski-equipped aircraft on snow and ice. While no video or book can replace quality in-aircraft instruction, this course will give you a solid foundation and preparation for your flight training that will ultimately save you time and money.
Our online airplane ski flying course is broken down into 7 sections consisting of video and picture-based lessons to help you visualize what flying on skis will be like. All filming is done in Alaska flying off everything from airports, backcountry strips, frozen lakes, glaciers, and more.
