Converting this old #airplane into a #tinyhouse he Converting this old #airplane into a #tinyhouse here in Alaska at the #fly8ma Pilot lodge! We have 5 other #tinycabins already built and this will be our newest addition! Before we can get started turning this into a #tinyhome we have to cut off the wings and move it from the #airport to our property just north of Anchorage.
Follow along with us on the YouTube channel as we get this #dc6 transported back to its new home!

Right now it's a 2 bedroom, 1 bath with an arctic entry attached to the side.
With the current layout the front of the aircraft becomes a living area and the cockpit remains accessible to everyone.
The left wing will be a large walkout deck accessed from the kitchen and joined to a smaller deck at the forward cargo door.

PILOT LODGE UPDATE! Here's a quick update on the r PILOT LODGE UPDATE!
Here's a quick update on the runway cabin builds since I take way too long to edit videos for #youtube
As of September 2022 we've completed two of these small cabins and have two more larger cabins close to completion on the #runway.
All of the cabins have a view of the private #airstrip here at 57AK!

This will bring our total to 7 cabins here at the #pilot lodge.
Stay tuned to our #fly8ma youtube channel for more updates on the cabin builds and runway construction here at the lodge. Trying to make the most of what daylight we have left here in #alaska (and get some work done before the dirt freezes).
